This or That Book Tag

Today I will be answering the questions in the This or That Book Tag. It looks like the original tag can be found here. I found it on Youtube when Game of Tomes answered the questions.

On to the questions.

1. Reading on the couch or reading in bed?

Our couch isn’t terribly comfortable, but I have really bad eyes so it’s hard for me to read in the lighting we have in the bedroom. I would probably still choose reading in bed though because I can sprawl out and usually find a few minutes of alone time when my daughter and husband are in the livingroom.

2. Main character: Male or Female?

I don’t know that I really have a preference. But if I had to choose I would pick female because I feel like I would identify with a female more often than a male. I enjoy reading from either perspective though.

3. Sweet or salty snacks while reading?

Salty. I love sweets, but my go to snack for reading beside my daughter is salt and vinegar Pringles.

4. Trilogies or quartets?

Trilogy just seems like the right answer here.

5. First Person or Third person POV?

First person. I think it lets me know our main character better.

6. Night or morning reader?

Nighttime reader. I read any minute I can find quiet and calm enough to do so, but reading is a hobby so it often gets pushed back until all of the work for the day is done. Quiet minutes in the morning are often used to get a head start on the work for the day. Quiet minutes at night are often used for reading because the work for the day is done.

7. Libraries or bookstores?

Libraries. We love our library. We’re there at least twice a week and always have between 70 and 100 books checked out between the three of us. Our list of books on hold is always long too.

8. Books that make you laugh or books that make you cry?

Books that make me laugh. I cry very easily so I often cry over books, both happy and sad. Laughing from a book is a great find.

9. Black or white book covers?

I’ve never thought about this, but looking at my shelves, I am apparently more drawn to black covers.

10.Character driven or plot driven stories?

Character driven. No matter how great the plot is, if I don’t know the characters or care about them, I don’t care about the book.
