This tag I had saved in a notepad on my computer. I don’t know where I found it and had no luck finding an original creator on a Google search. If you know who the creator was let me know and I’ll add a link to them here. On to the questions.
1.) When is your birthday?
My birthday is on February 13th. I was born on a Friday.
2.) How old are you turning?
I’m turning 32.
3.) What was you’re favorite present that you’ve ever received?
Everything I can think of sounds silly. I will have to say, for my birthday two years ago, my parents got me a gift certificate to get my hair done. I got my bangs dyed in a rainbow! And I loved it. Getting my hair cut or colored is something we’ve never had in the budget so being spoiled was amazing.
4.) Are you/did you have a party this year? If so what are you doing?
I won’t have a party for myself, but my daughter will be having a small birthday party on the last day of birthday week. I will obviously be there and may receive a few gifts as well.
5.) How do you usually celebrate your birthday?
I don’t really celebrate my birthday any more. One thing I always did when I worked outside the home was to take the day off from work, wherever I was working at the time. That doesn’t happen now because I’m pretty much always on the clock. I’ll have a post up later in the month with the full specifics of birthday week, but this year there will be a gift every day of the week for both me and my daughter.
6.) What was the most memorable birthday that you had?
My most memorable birthday was spent in labor. I was turning 28 and had been in labor for a full day so far. I went in to labor on the 12th and my daughter wasn’t born until the morning of the 16th. Labor made for a pretty memorable birthday.
7.) If you had an unlimited amount of money what would you do for your birthday?
I would go to a book store on a shopping spree and then get coffee from Tim Hortons to drink while I read my new books. I would also have to stop in to Michaels and buy some new goodies for my planner. And probably dinner with the hubby or something.
8.) What’s your birthday wish list?
My wish list this year is all books. There will be a separate post later this month letting you know which ones specifically. I would also choose coffee and planner stickers to be on my gift list as well.
9.) If you only had one birthday left, what would you do for your birthday?
I would spend it making my daughter’s birthday week the best it could possibly be. And now a tag has made me cry. I should read all of the questions in advance next time.
10.) Do you have any birthday traditions?
Since becoming a parent we have birthday week where my daughter and I each get a gift every day leading up to her party at the end of the week. Then she gets the rest of her birthday gifts and her birthday cake.
11.)what’s your favorite part about your birthday?
Getting gifts. The rest of the holidays I have fun giving gifts to everyone, but my birthday is the one time I don’t have to think about finding a great gift for anyone else. I receive gifts and no one else is expecting anything.
12.) What’s one thing that changed a lot since your last birthday?
My husband lost his job. We’re both freelance right now and barely making ends meet. Gifts are somewhat sparse this year.
What is a birthday tradition you have?
