I can’t remember where I saw this, but I’ll look at the books I have rated on Goodreads in the past two years of reading and look at the five books that have the fewest overall ratings. It’s hard to put them in any order because three of the five books have only one rating, mine.
The Forbidden Fruit by Stephen Cyr (1 rating)
This is a short story, only 16 pages. I gave it ✰4✰. It is about a man that is trying to find the Holy Grail. He finds it on Ebay and orders it. It was a good story, I just wanted more explained at the end. I didn’t finish it feeling satisfied with the conclusion of the story.
Love and Magic: Four Delightfully Spun Yarns by John Hanlon (1 rating)
This is a book of four short stories. They are whimsical. They each have some small magical element. I enjoyed them quite a bit and gave the book ✰5✰.
Brandon Colker’s How to Make Big Bucks from Big Blogs by Brandon Colker (1 rating)
This is another really short book. Just 48 pages. I’m not even sure where I found this book, but I had a physical copy on my bookshelf from someone. I read it during a readathon because it was short. I gave this book ✰3✰. I don’t remember it being very useful for me.
The Shaping of an “Angry” Black Woman by Tamara Woods (6 ratings)
This is a book of poetry written by a content creator on YouTube. I found the book through watching her channel and I rated it ✰5✰ I read it over a year ago and don’t currently remember anything about it.
Raine and Lightning (Mercenary Hearts Book 2) by M. Kirin (7 ratings)
I read this book back in January of 2018 and I don’t really remember the story at this point. It is part of a serialized cyberpunk novel. It looks like I gave volume 1 and 2 each ✰3✰ and then didn’t continue with the series.
I’m not really surprised when self published works don’t have very many ratings, but I am surprised that 21 of the books I’ve read in the last two years have fewer than 100 ratings. What are the fewest number of ratings on a book you’re read?
Tomorrow’s post will be the books I’ve read that have the most ratings. Do you have any guesses what those books might be?
