I don’t actually have time to participate in Buzzwordathon, but I still wanted to make a TBR to see if I could meet all of the challenges. I did, but I don’t know if I will read any of these soon.
The Buzzwordathon round three started yesterday. It runs from the 18th to the 24th this time around. If you don’t know, Buzzwordathon is a readathon hosted by BooksandLala on Youtube. She typically takes one word that she has been seeing everywhere and you read titles that have that word in them. This time around she and her cohost opted to use six words. Who, what, where, why, when, and how.
I found a book either in my physical collection or digital collection for each prompt, except one that I have on hold from the library. I haven’t read any of these, but they are on my radar for when my reading time frees up a bit. Even if I won’t be reading them any time soon, I hope my suggestions help you fill a tricky slot on your TBR.
Who– For this word I chose Who Do, Voodoo? by Rochelle Staab. This one I have physically. I found it in my book closet where I keep my books that won’t fit on my bookshelves any longer. Goodreads says it is a paranormal cozy mystery and it has an average rating of 3.71 stars.
What– For what I chose What Stays in Vegas by Beth Labonte. This book I have on my kindle. It is listed as a contemporary romance and has 3.55 stars on Goodreads.
Where– For where I chose a book that is on my current library holds list. It is Where the Crawdads Sing by Delia Owens. I have heard only good things about this one. It is listed as a historical fiction mystery and has an average rating of 4.53 stars on Goodreads.
Why– I chose Rebel Talent: Why It Pays to Break the Rules at Work and in Life by Francesca Gino. This is a book that I started ages ago and have left lingering on my kindle unfinished. I should get back to it at some point. It is listed as a business, leadership, self-help book and has an average rating of 3.80 stars on Goodreads.
When– For this one I chose When Crickets Cry by Charles Martin. This book is one I own physically. I have no idea how long I’ve had this book in my closet, but it is listed as a Christian fiction book so I may or may not read this book with that new bit of information. It has an average rating of 4.25 stars on Goodreads.
How– For this last book I have another one that was in my closet. It is How I Became a Famous Novelist by Steve Hely. This book is listed as adult humerus fiction. It has an average rating of 3.69 stars on Goodreads. It is a funny book about writing and it sounds perfect for me. I may try to pick this one up soon after all.
