This week I finished two books.
Haroun and the Sea of Stories by Salman Rushdie ✰2✰ I didn’t really like this book. It was too whimsical and nonsensical for me to enjoy. Most people seem to love it though. I was leaning towards a three star rating until the last two pages. The way the main characters Mother’s story wrapped up in the end made me angry.
Across the Green Grass Fields by Seanan McGuire ✰4✰ This was another great installment in the Wayward Children Series. I have given all six books either four or five stars. This one wasn’t my favorite, but it was still great. I loved the world filled with unicorns and centaurs, but the ending felt like a long time coming to be wrapped up so quickly.
